About Candle Cat
Candle Cat has been creating beautifully scented candles, wax melts and home fragrance since 2014. Born out of frustration of not being able to find great quality, ethical and affordable candles, I decided to make my own. Who would have thought that what began as a hobby would eventually become my main job! In 2019 I left my social work career and became a full time candle maker.
Fast forward to today and you will find me on my stall at local artisan markets most weekends. You can also find Candle Cat products in a number of stockists.
In June last year I was proud to win Theo Paphitis (Dragon's Den BBC programme) small business award competition. I got to meet him in February this year when he presented me with my award certificate...what a proud moment for Candle Cat, I am still pinching myself on this achievement!
Every product is carefully created and handpoured by myself in my garden workshop based in Wigan, Greater Manchester. The candles and melts contain only two ingredients; sustainable soy wax and the finest quality fragrance and essential oils sourced from UK companies.
The ingredients are cruelty free and vegan friendly.
All packaging is made from recycled materials and is either biodegradable or recyclable. The containers can be re-purposed or recycled and the diffusers and room mists are refillable so nothing goes to waste.
I strive to support local businesses where I can...in fact the wax I use is produced by a local company in my neighbouring town of Chorley.
